An Iraqi military spokesman says Jake Bilardi's apparent suicide in Iraq 'didn't achieve anything for I.S.'

A MELBOURNE teen who reportedly blew himself up in Iraq has been mocked by fellow extremists for his "weak body".

Islamic State online propaganda about "Jihadi Jake" Bilardi says the 18-year-old "sold his soul to Allah cheaply".

A terrorist sympathiser claimed Bilardi was full of happiness in the weeks before he got in a bomb-packed SUV and attacked an Iraqi army outpost in Ramadi last week.

The Iraqi army has said the attack was unsuccessful, causing only his own death.

But IS's Abu Ismail, who claimed to know Bilardi, celebrated the "martyrdom operation" online.

"He was a lion on the battlefield although he was at a young age & with a weak body, he was like a mountain," Abu Ismail said of Bilardi.

The blog post said Bilardi's parents went to "war with him" after his conversion to Islam three years ago.

It claimed the deluded Craigieburn teenager would fast every other day.

"This brother originated from an atheist family & ended up selling his soul to Allah for a cheap price, to … give victory to this religion," the posting said.

Australian suicide bomber "jihadi Jake" Bilardi was mocked by fellow extremists.

In the days before his attack Bilardi said IS had used a 14-year-old in a suicide mission.

"He was driving a vehicle filled with 3 tonnes of TNT so the damage was expected to be great," he said.

As a white jihadi Bilardi said he often got "awkward and confused stares" from locals.

Bilardi also claimed IS was building an army in Lebanon and had sleeper cells in Israel. He unapologetically expressed hatred for Israel.

"After I became the 'radical, terrorist' I am today though, I woke up to the reality of these pigs and monkeys and accepted that there is nothing between us and them but the sword," he said.
