POP princess Jessica Mauboy has been given the seal of approval by the American hitmaker who has created chart-toppers for everyone from Whitney Houston to Ariana Grande.
Mauboy is rush-releasing a new single Can I Get A Moment after being "gifted " the song by the legendary producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds.
The Australian singer and actor was in Los Angeles two weeks ago working on new songs when she was granted a rare opportunity to write with the man behind classic R & B hits including Boyz II Men's End Of The Road and Whitney Houston's Exhale (Shoop Shoop).

Edmonds believed Mauboy was the perfect artist to record Can I Get A Moment which is reminiscent of the Pharrell Williams and Miley Cyrus hit Come Get It Bae.
"Working with someone like him is something I have always dreamt with and we had had three good writing sessions when he played me Can I Get A Moment," she said.
"It's so funky and cool that as soon as I heard it I told them 'This is my track!'

"This is major because you don't get songs from producers like him just handed to you on a beautiful platter when you are artist they know nothing about."
The Sapphires star has enjoyed a phenomenal year of achievements from being the first Australian to sing as a guest at the Eurovision Song Contest to performing at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

She has soared up the charts with her singles Never be The Same and the iTunes Sessions.
Mauboy said the year had given her the confidence to hold her own in a room with influential producers and writers like the Grammy Award-winning Babyface.
"I tell you I feel this year has been such a huge turnaround for me in knowing what I want as an artist and I feel I can go head to head with these hitmakers," she said.
"I wasn't feeling as fierce as I am now even two years ago but I feel like I'm on fire now."
Can I Get A Moment is available for pre-order tomorrow as Mauboy celebrates her rugby league passion with a performance at the Dally M Awards in Sydney.
A rugby league fangirl, Mauboy said she would be lining up for selfies with Roosters players Sonny Bill Williams and Anthony Minichiello and her Cowboys superstar Johnathan Thurston.
"I'm such a big fan of this game, my heart has always been with it, so I will be roaming the room to say hi to as many players as I can," she said.
Can I Get A Moment is released on October 17.
